Only a few more posts remain for this site, for quite some time. I hope to be back within a few months, but I can’t promise that it will work out that way. All I can say is that ‘when’ I do come back, I will be back for another epic run (from my perspective anyway).
As soon as Marc Emery (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 in the works) is handed over to the United States, I will wrap things up here within a few days. What I’m trying to do right now is decide what needs to be done, and what I want to get done.
I’m going to take my time doing this and try and tie up as many loose ends with as few posts as possible. Hence, the next few pieces will not be posted at the dizzying frequency that I have posted in the past.
Just thought I would give an update and explain why there has been a lull in activity. I may even turn this into a major Bill Hicks break before making the next post. For me, Hicks always helps to clear the mind.
Update: The torrent for Series IIIa is now 100% seeded and being shared by multiple users. Downloads should proceed a lot faster from now on. A big Thank You to everyone who is sharing.
Since I’m about to take a sabbatical (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 in the works) I thought it would be a good idea to create a torrent for the videos that are already available for Series III of The Language of Mathematics: Solving Equations and Graphing Polynomial Functions. I hope to have this series completed and the torrent for the second part available by the summer of 2010.
The videos are the same quality as the ones that have already been shared. As soon as I upgrade my hardware and software, figure out what I’m going to do about the music that I’ve sampled, and take care of a few other technicalities, higher resolution videos will be provided. Hopefully I will be able to time this with the release of a DVD in conjunction with going live with a website specifically dedicated to The Language of Mathematics. Until then, I hope you enjoy, and find use for the following videos from Series III. Table of Contents for what is available in this torrent is provided at the end of this post (permalink at The Language of Mathematics: Series III - Solving Equations and Graphing Polynomial Functions ).
The topics of discussion have been quite heavy of late so I figured it would be nice to lighten the mood while I continue to take my sweet time with Part 3 of “In Reaction to Marc Emery’s Extradition: What I plan to do to help end the ‘War on Drugs’” (Part 1, Part 2).
One thing I will say though regarding this video, if you enjoy extremes in life then I can not recommend living with a full beard for at least a year highly enough. I’m a firm believer that extremism in moderation is a great way to go through life, and one way that I have been able to apply this during my ride has been to grow gigantic beards, live with them for a while, and then completely shave them off. Some time in the future I’ll try and share some of what I have learned and observed living with a full beard in the Western world. It was/is a brilliant experience.
Bye Bye Beard: I can not recommend living with a beard highly enough
Some loose ends must be taken care of before the sabbatical begins, and an update to The Language of Mathematics is a good place to start. So while I mull over Part 3 of “In Reaction to Marc Emery’s Extradition: What I plan to do to help end the ‘War on Drugs’” ( Part 1, Part 2), the following update should answer some of the questions regarding my plans. Some of the organizations that will be the beneficiaries of the mirrored math site mentioned in the video will of course be the ones listed in the previous post (more on this later). This list is also provided below the video.
